Winging it

Sometimes, I find winging an outfit gives forces you to find a creative solution. This Old Navy dress is way too low cut for me, and since my mom has taken my sewing machine hostage, I decided to wear it anyway, with a long sleeve shirt over top. It was super comfortable, yet still polished. Now, if only I can master not stepping on my hem, we're all set!

I think it's safe to say that this whole fashion blog thing is really happening. Hopefully, at the rate I'm going, I'll be posting 3 times a week... hopefully! I'm starting to understand the challenges of all you fashion bloggers out there: weather, wind, mushy spring ground, sun. But I'm learning as I go and having a blast with it. 

I have worn these jeans to death. I originally bought them on Ebay, being the cheapo that I am, and have to say they were really worth the hassle! I love Ebay by the way - a lot of my favorite pieces are from there.

I scored this BB Dakota Blazer with leather lapels on Shopbop over Christmas break and I haven't regretted this purchase one second. I've worn this blazer so much - with dresses, jeans, skirts - it goes with anything. I'm also really happy with these new Joe Fresh sunnies - sturdy but classy!

BARE LEGS?! What?! I'll fully admit, it was too cold that day for bare legs (and they are also too white!). But I thought this dress would look way cuter with a jean jacket and casual wedges. What can I say, I'm really anticipating summer!

When I found this hat at H&M I practically ran with it to the cash register. I love the soft grey shade of it and, best of all, it actually fits my massive head! I had been looking for a feminine hat for a while and I'm so happy I found one. I won't be able to wear if for too long though, the weather is getting quite nice!

I'm not the type of girl who picks color over black clothing, but these bright pink Gap skinnies totally spoke to me when I spotted them on their website. I love the skinny cut and how blindingly bright they are. This was my first outing with my new Zara shoes and I have to say they are mighty comfortable!

Thought I'd start the blog off with something I wore out to a friends' birthday party. There's something so easy about a shift dress. I paired it with a trench, but I must say, it was way too cold to wear one that day! Oh Canada and its temperature fluctuations!
