Little anecdote of the day: I was walking to work this morning from my car (I work in a busy downtown area) minding my own business, when this car got in my way right at the corner where I would turn to head to the office, and wouldn't move off the sidewalk to let me pass. I looked at the driver, and he pointed ahead. So I turned the corner (because I couldn't see) to find myself pretty much face to face with a deer. I wish I could have snapped a picture but I didn't want to scare the poor thing. It was quite still for a bit, then took a few steps towards me, and because I said to it "heyyy buddy!" it quickly turned around, jumped a fence and successfully crossed a busy street. I hope it makes it home!
Happy Monday!

You saw a deer downtown? That is crazy!! Love the skirt and the heels and of course your purse ; )
ReplyDeleteWoah that would have totally freaked me out! I hope the deer got home safely too!! Loving your skirt, the little cutouts are super cute. I'm sure the deer liked them too.

I think it did because some locals spotted it further away, close to the forest and away from the traffic! Poor thing!
DeleteGood vintage finds are the best, they make the hunt so worthwhile:)
ReplyDeleteHoping the deer made it back safe!

DeleteThanks for the comment Cara! :)
What a crazy story!! I haven't seen a deer in the road for ages (which is weird because there are a lot near where I live out on the roads). You're top and sunnies are really nice, I would feel so cool wearing these!

What a pretty skirt - I love the way it seems to flow and move with you, and the detail along the hem is lovely. I hope the deer made it home safely, what a strange but exciting downtown experience :)
