Summer Dresses

Summer Dresses
As the weather has been getting warmer, I've been feeling the need to buy summer dresses (even if I don't need to)! I already own the flowered H&M number which I picked up about a month ago, but all these beauties are making me swoon. I've been majorly loving cut-out dresses (obsessed with this Banana Republic take), flowy shift dresses, and stripes. Which one is your fave?

Obsession: Gladiator Sandals

Obsession: Gladiator Sandals

Dolce Vita Hexen // Ella Moss Harleigh Sandal / Belle by Sigerson Morrison Annie Sandal /  Joe's Jean Marlin Sandal
Coach Nillie Sandal / Belle by Sigerson Morrison Abra Sandal / J Crew T-Strap Gladiator Sandal / Michael Kors Winston Sandal
Joie Toledo Sandal / Dolce Vita Pinko Sandal / Dolce Vita Fray Sandal / Michael Kors Winston Flat Sandal
Sigerson Morrison Cloice Sandal / Loeffler Randall Dixie Sandal / Nine West Authority / J Crew Gladiator Heel

Alright friends. My obsession into gladiator sandals is full blown - might as well make a post about it! I'm absolutely smitten with graphic look and versatility of gladiator sandals. They can totally dress down a look, yet look completely cool and casual with a pair of khakis. I've yet to purchase a pair, but the Nine West Authority and the Dolce Vita Pinko have completely stolen my heart. I've also noticed some brands have made their gladiator sandals two versions - flats and with a heel. I'd be alright owning the Michael Kors Winston in both the flat, and heeled version! J Crew also released a flat and heeled version of their T-Strap sandal.

Which pair is your favorite?

Hope you all have a restful long weekend! Mine with be spent traveling a bit, but all in good company!

Most Wanted

Most Wanted Essentials

Good morning friends!

Wishlisting is seriously helping me getting through this winter. When high boots are your only option of shoes (like this morning), dreaming of open toe sandals can be a little comforting. I've been accumulating items that I won't be able to wear for a few months - sandals, distressed denim, white denim... Sigh. Any tips for getting through this last stretch of winter? I knew I should have started a winter sport this year.

Happy Birthday to my fellow blogger Kate

The Basics

The Basics

With the start of the new year, a lot of bloggers have been focusing on paring down their wardrobe and sticking to the classics. I'm loving this approach, but I still have a few things to add to my wardrobe before I can consider myself covered on the basics front. Like for example, I don't have a light wash jean jacket - it's such a basic when it comes to Spring/Summer. I also don't own a basic large black bag - I might have done something about that already. And at some point, I'd love to add strappy black sandals, and a statement cuff bracelet to the mix.

What's missing in terms of basics in your closet?

Cold Weather Accessories

With another snowstorm currently in progress, I can't help but think of newer and better ways to bundle up. What better way to do that than with a collage of my favorite items of the moment! I must own a fur collar (preferably of fake fur, unlike the one I've picked) and a pompom hat this season! And yes, I know the Club Monaco Liza hat isn't necessarily cozy, but I love it so much! I'm coveting so many Club Monaco items at the moment - I'll be counting down the minutes to their (hopefully good) boxing day sale!

How are you staying warm this winter? Any favorite accessories?

Fall Floral Picks

I recently posted a look that fell right into the fall floral trend - that's where my obsession started. Every time I see some darker floral items lately, I'm smitten. Here are a few of my favorite around the nets.

Out of all these, I'm especially loving the Topshop blouse and the J Crew skirt. How gorgeous is that metallic copper on blue print? I'm also in love with the green floral Sophie Hulme bag - how cute would it looks with a black scuba dress? Or even a cream sweater dress?

Are you into fall florals at the moment? Any favorites out there? Leave your links below!

All Black

This year, fall  is making me crave black accessories. I'm not sure how this came about, but I find there's something refreshing and masculine about black hardware. And I love that it can match absolutely anything in your wardrobe! Want to add gold or silver accessories to any of these? You can! If you have more feminine wardrobe, it also has the added bonus of giving your look a little bit of a masculine edge - I can only imagine that Loeffler Randall bag with a floral print fit & flare dress! Or those Rag & Bone booties with a white lace dress (like this one from Zara)! I've personally got my mind set on the Ray-Bans and the Michael Kors watch and will hopefully make the plunge on one or the other this fall (or both!)

What kind of accessories are you craving for fall?

Masculin/Féminin

My mood completely affect the way I dress. Sometimes I like conveying feminine in what I wear, and other times boyfriend jeans and a loose sweater is the way to go. Most of the time though, I try mixing up feminine accents with more masculine elements. Here are some of my faves items of the moment who would all be very at home in my closet. Especially that Zara sweatshirt. And that Topshop skirt as I've been obsessed with sequin skirts at the moment. Oh and that gorgeous Madewell popover. And I'm drooling over those Tibi flats. Well, you get the drift.

Fall-ing in Love

Argh, I can't help it. Fall fashion has pulled me in. I'm trying to hang on to summer as much as I can but the fall colors are out, summer sales are on, and the weather is getting cooler. They're all working against me!

I'm trying to keep a mental list of essentials I'd like to add to my closet for fall such as olive colored trousers, a caramel blazer, tan booties... and well, the rest is pictured! Oh, and I'm on a mad search for a tan belt - it's harder than you think!
