The Basics

The Basics




With the start of the new year, a lot of bloggers have been focusing on paring down their wardrobe and sticking to the classics. I'm loving this approach, but I still have a few things to add to my wardrobe before I can consider myself covered on the basics front. Like for example, I don't have a light wash jean jacket - it's such a basic when it comes to Spring/Summer. I also don't own a basic large black bag - I might have done something about that already. And at some point, I'd love to add strappy black sandals, and a statement cuff bracelet to the mix.

What's missing in terms of basics in your closet?

    Such a great roundup of basics/classics! I am now also in need of a new denim jacket since mine got swiped last fall. Sigh. And missing from my closet is a leopard print pump, black flats, a light/nude/tan shoulder bag for spring/summer and looking way ahead to summer, denim shorts!

    I feel like I'm missing a lot of basics myself, like a white button down. That bag is gorgeous!

    I love absolutely everything you have on this collage, especially that sweater! I have been so inspired to get back to basics as well this year - something feels so fresh about having high quality staples. I want to find the perfect skinny blue jeans for Spring this year, I seem to have all shades but blue! xE
